UDHAMPUR, Jan 16: A youth, who had gone missing since January 14, was today found dead in Shol Nallah in Ramnagar while in a suicide case, a young man ended his life by hanging himself at his house in village Kawa, Udhampur.
According to a police, the body of Roshan (22), son of Manku, resident of Marta Shol in Ramnagar Tehsil, was spotted this morning in Shol Nallah, by some locals, who informed the police. The deceased was missing since January 14.
Even as exact cause of death would be ascertained only after the postmortem, the deceased seemed to have accidently drowned in the Nallah, which was flooded because of heavy rains in the area.
After shifting the body to mortuary room of SDH Ramnagar, Police has initiated inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC and further investigation is going on.
Meanwhile, one Sanjay Kumar Sharma (32), son of Hans Raj Sharma of village Kawa, committed suicide by hanging himself from ceiling fan hook at his residence. Family member informed Police about the suicide following which the dead body was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur for the postmortem and a case was also registered for further investigation into the matter.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained.
