JAMMU, Aug 5: The dead body of a Government teacher was recovered today from a canal in Gadigarh area of city outskirts.
“The deceased has been identified as Garu Ram son of Chaman Lal, resident of Sanjay Nagar Extension,” a police official said. He said the man was missing since August 3 and his missing report stands registered at police post Digiana.
The official disclosed that the deceased was a serving Government teacher and was posted at Bhour Camp High School. He said the body of the teacher was recovered today at about 9:30 PM from a canal, on the backside of Banyan International School, under the jurisdiction of police post Gadigarh.
“The body has been shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu while Gadigarh police has initiated inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC in this connection,” he said, adding, prima facie there seems to be nothing suspicious.
