Missing files in JDA

Sir,
It is with great concern that we bring to your attention a distressing issue plaguing the Jammu Development Authority (JDA) for several years. Shockingly, a significant number of files have gone missing from the allotment section of the JDA, and despite numerous representations submitted to successive Vice-Chairpersons, no accountability has been established.
In a commendable move, the current Vice-Chairman has recommended the formation of a committee by the Housing and Urban Development Department to reconstruct these crucial records. Furthermore, the matter has been referred to the Crime Branch in Jammu for a thorough investigation to identify the officials responsible for this grave negligence.
The committee’s mandate includes reconstructing the missing records to ensure the completeness of allotment records, facilitating transparency for the public. It will also scrutinize the genuineness of allotments, ensuring they are not cancelled, irregular, or pending investigation.
We urge swift action in this matter to restore public trust in the JDA and hold those responsible accountable. The committee’s progress should be monitored closely, and regular updates provided to the public. We hope this investigation will bring justice and transparency to the JDA’s operations, which is crucial for the development of Jammu.
