Missing children reunited with their parents

UDHAMPUR, Jan 4: The General Railway Police (GRP) Udhampur has reunited two missing children with their parents after brief counseling of the boys.
The two children, one 14- year and other 9-year old, from Kulhand tehsil Bhagla Bhart District Doda and Gaghour Doda, respectively, were wandering at platform number 02 of Railway Station Udhampur, here yesterday.
They asked for a cup of tea at the tea stall and when they paid for the same, GRP personnel deployed at the platform duty, Head Constable Khurshid Hussain and SPO Arvinder Kumar noticed that the children had huge amount of cash (Rs 49,370) in their possession which was suspicious.
When police party enquired about the cash, they could not give any satisfactory reply about the same . After this, Police party brought them to Inspector Sanjay Raina, SHO Police Station GRP Udhampur for further enquiry. During questioning, they stated that they had fled away from home for Delhi after stealing cash from home.
Later with the help of SHO Police Station Doda, their parents were contacted. The parents told Police that the children had left home or tuition in the morning and they too were searching for them.
After brief counseling of the children by SHO GRP Udhampur Sanjay Raina and Arti Sharma, Child Railway Help Desk Udhampur, both the boys were handed over to their parents along with cash of Rs 49370.
