Missing Advocate Case: Jammu Lawyers extend strike till tomorrow

JAMMU: Jammu Lawyers today extended their strike till tomorrow in protest against failure of police in tracing the missing advocate from Nagrota area on July 31.

Advocate Raman Wazir, went missing from July 31 morning from Jagati area of Nagrota on city outskirts under mysterious circumstances.

Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court has treated the representation of Bar Association as Habeas Corpus petition; when the matter was taken-up by the High Court today, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) filed a status report in which they submitted that during the course of investigation, SIT revisited the spot where the vehicle was found in order to proceed with the search of the place for collection of physical evidences, as per procedure with the help of forensic scientist in presence of locals and prepared the scene sketch.

The SIT said that the officers activated their sources in the locality to extract lead in tracing the missing Advocate besides the details of bad characters, history sheeters, budding goons and rowdies of the area was collected from the Police Station, Nagrota besides obtaining surveillance files and intelligence data base in order to explore the angle of Kidnapping as well.
