BANDIPORA: Minister of State for Forest, Environment, Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Mir Zahoor Ahmad, today visited forest training school, Chitternar, Bandipora to take stock of its functioning.
During his visit, the Minister went round the complex and inspected various sections and enquired about the activities of the different wings. He instructed the concerned officers to work with utmost dedication and asked them to ensure all possible facilities to the trainers.
Interacting with the officers of Forest and its allied wings, the Minister said that main thrust should be given on quality research through which livelihood and economic status of the people living around the forest area is enhanced and people get motivated to grow more.
Later, addressing the gatherings at different places during his tour to the district, Mir Zahoor said the present dispensation is committed to uplift the living standards of the people of State especially of weaker sections.. He said various Centrally Sponsored flagship programmes have been launched in the State to provide better facilities to the people.
Asking people to come forward and take advantage of the welfare schemes, he said people should actively involve themselves in the developmental works to monitor their progress.
