ANANTNAG, Dec 8: Minister for Tourism, Ghulam Ahmad Mir has asked Panchs and Sarpanchs to act as a bridge between the administration and the people for the welfare and progress of the State.
“You need to render extraordinary service to people to mitigate their difficulties and act as a bridge between the administration and the people,” Mir said while addressing Panchs and Sarpanchs of locals Panchayat Halqas including Waterhall, Lessar and Vio-bomdoora in Dooru.
The Minister reiterated Government’s commitment about equitable and all-round development of all areas of the state. He said a whooping allocation has been allotted for comprehensive development of Dooru Constituency under State, District and Flagship plans during current fiscal which have catapulted the development process in all the areas. He said the Government has sensitized the administration and the executing agencies at all levels to redouble their efforts for ensuring time bound completion of developmental targets.
The Minister appealed the people to positively contribute in the efforts of the Government to carry forward its development agenda in a peaceful atmosphere and reach out to people in all areas to address their grievances and accommodate their development needs.
The Tourism Minister during the tour interacted locals, enquired their problems and directed concerned field functionaries for immediate redressal of their grievances. He called upon the CA&PD, PHE, PDD and other concerned authorities to ensure hassle free services to the people during winter, adding that it should be ensured that people should not face any inconvenience with regard to getting ration, LPG, power, drinking water or healthcare facilities.
The Tourism Minister said that in view of tourism emerging as global economic force, the present Government has attached much importance to this sector for employment generation and poverty alleviation. He said tourism potential in each and every area of the state including Dooru area and its surroundings would be optimally exploited to give impetus to socio-economic activities.
Mir called upon the people to cooperate with the administration and executing agencies to help Government in speedy socio-economic transformation of the State.
“Peace and tranquillity is imperative to achieve the goal. Every citizen of the State have a right of equal opportunities of development and prosperities,” Mir said and reaffirmed the Government’s resolve for uniform development and equal social justice to the people in all the three regions of the State.
