KATHUA, Feb 12: Jammu Kashmir PCC Chief GA Mir today accused ruling BJP Govt of adopting anti-people policies that have ruined every strata of society in J&K. Accompanied by PCC Working President Raman Bhalla, he said that farmers, employees, traders, youth were all suffering under the present Government.
“BJP Government is playing with autonomy of institutions by interfering in their working while the issue of inflation and rising prices of essential commodities has made life of common man miserable,” he said, while addressing party workers meeting at Dayalachak area of Kathua, organized by District President Kathua Pankaj Dogra.
Mir claimed that people in Jammu and Kashmir are not happy with the draft Delimitation Commission report and lashed out at BJP over its alleged anti-people policies and dividing the country on communal lines. Asserting that the Congress was not against the delimitation process in Jammu and Kashmir, he said the method adopted, however, was not in tandem with the procedure.
JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla, in his address, urged people of J&K to reject pro-rich and anti-youth, anti-farmers and anti-poor BJP for ensuring peace and prosperity in the region. He alleged that the BJP Government was wasting public money for carrying out massive advertisements of party just to polish their disgruntle image in front of people.
Bhalla also reacted sharply to the recent notice of the Government closing the relief package from 10th February onwards, and termed it great betrayal with the suffering displaced persons who were exploited by the ruling party by making hollow promises especially full implementation of the 2014 relief package recommended by then State Coalition Government on the initiative of Congress party and Dr Manmohan Singh Government.
He reiterated that Congress will fight for cause of Jammuities besides restoring lost honour of J&K. He stressed the need of further strengthening the party at the grass-roots level by launching a door to door campaign and prepare the people for meeting the challenges faced in Jammu and Kashmir.
JKPCC General Secretary Manmohan Singh, in his address, said that the flawed policies on the part of Centre based on lies and deceit have pushed J&K towards backwardness. Ex MLC Th Balbir Singh said that Congress party is vibrant and only unifying force in the country. Distt President Kathua Pankaj Dogra recalled that BJP had made a false promise to the people of the nation to give them “Achey Din” but in reality they are giving “expensive and bad days” by increasing the prices of essential commodities.
Prominent among those present on the occasion, include Rajnesh Sharma, Seva Dal Congress Chief Vijay Sharma Babbi, OBC Chairmen Suresh Dogra, Parnav Shagotra and others.
