Mir asks ex-Corporators of Cong to expose misdeeds of ruling coalition

Jammu, June 25:          President JKPCC  Ghulam Ahmed Mir has asked the ex-Corporators and contested candidates of the Congress party in the last urban bodies election to highlight the misdeeds  of the ruling coalition and its failures to meet the genuine aspirations and needs of common people.
Addressing a meeting of Ex-Corporators of the party and contesting candidates of last elections to the Urban Bodies at PCC HQ. here today, Mr. Mir described them as the backbone of the party structure in urban area which are information centers of spreading throughout the state. He said that they have a vital role to create awareness amongst the people about the policies of betrayal with the electorates by the respective coalition partners who have disrespected the spirit of mandate by them in forming the coalition by surrendering their commitment to the people. He said that after taking over the power the ruling partners have indulged in various misdeeds and have failed to achieve any thing as a result there has been enormous increase in the hardship and day to day problems of people in the state.
Mr. Mir referred to the denial of relief and rehabilitation package, the ongoing  movement over AIIMS and the issue of artificial lake project and other anti youth policies of the present dispensation and manifold  inflammation in prices of all essential commodities besides problems of water, electricity and essential civic facilities.
PCC  president asked the party rank and file to maintain close rapport with the ward and block committees of the party and people of respective areas and highlight the common problems faced by them and render all necessary help for their redressal.
Mr. Mir had detailed discussions with the participants and got their feedback of the problems of people and working of the organization structure.
President District Congress Committee Jammu Urban Anil Chopra conducted the proceedings of the meeting. Others who were present in the meeting included Manmohan Singh,  Namrata Sharma, Maheshwar Singh, Lalita Sharma, Rajni Bala, Uttam Singh, Pawan Singh, Thomas Khokhar, Surinder Kumar Gupta, Rajesh Sharma, Sanjeev Sharma, Dharminder Kotwal, Kulbushan Sharma, Deep Kumar Bhardwaj, Chaman Lal, Inder Sehgal, Krishan Lal Abrol, Satish Kumar Sharma, Rajinder Singh Jamwal, Jaswant Singh Sudan, Shub Chander Verma, Rachpal Khajuria, Narinder Gupta, Chemail Singh, Kushala, Harjeet Singh, Parveen Sharma, Santosh Magotra, Kamal Singh Jamwal, Joginder Singh Chib, Smt. Padmani Langeh, Babu Singh Chib, Rakesh Bhagat, Deewan Chand, Dewarka Choudhary, Indejeet Kaur and Dr. Vjay Sharma. Meanwhile a deputation of Kashmir Migrant cell of Congress, led by its convenor Hira Lal Pandita, met the PCC president at Congress Headquarters and apprised him of various problems faced by the migrants. The Kashmiri Migrants representatives apprised the PCC President that the authorities have not been issuing the RBA certificate in faovour their children as a result they are getting deprived of this category benefit.  They also appraised Mr. Mir that this time the authorities have not issued slip of relief ration as per past practice of issuing such ration slips for a period of one year.
PCC president gave a patient hearing to them and expressed full support and solidarity to their demands. He urged the Government to immediately solve the issue of RBA status to them as well as grant of ration as per past practice in order to avoid further hardships to the suffering people.
