BHADERWAH, Apr 4: A minor girl died after falling in a deep gorge in Malsu area, here.
As per police sources, Pushpa (13), daughter of Girdhari Lal, a resident of village Malsu Gatha in Bhaderwah along with a group of women had gone to collect Morcella (Guchi) from the forest in the morning, but didn’t return in the evening, prompting family and villagers to start her search.
Late in the night, the villagers spotted the body of the girl in a gorge near Malsu forest.
A police party from Bhaderwah police station rushed to the spot and retrieved the body and shifted it to Sub District Hospital (SDH), Bhaderwah, where after conducting autopsy, it was handed over to family members for last rites.
Police initiated inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC.
