UDHAMPUR, Aug 20: A minor girl was allegedly raped by a youth of her native village in forest areas of Ramnagar, here this morning.
The matter came into light when father of the victim approached Police Station Ramnagar and lodged a written complainant alleging that his 15-year-old girl was raped by one Mohd Sadiq, son of Ayub Khan Gujjar, resident of Mani, Tehsil Ramnagar when she had gone to forest area for grazing cattle.
The accused forcibly raped the girl and also threatened her to kill if she discloses the incident to anyone.
On the basis of this complaint, a case FIR number 138/18, Under Section 376 RPC, was registered at Police Station Ramnagar and a hunt was launched to nab the culprit.
