Minor gang raped by political activist, associate

JAMMU, Apr 28: A minor girl was allegedly gang raped by a political activist of ruling National Conference and his associate at Kathar, Manwal, under the jurisdiction of Jhajjar Kotli Police Station.
The victim, a student of class 11th was on way to home last evening when the accused made her unconscious after making her inhale some sedative. Thereafter they took the victim to some isolated place and gang raped her,  informed Police.
The accused have been identified as Kuldeep Kumar alias Sukkha (46) of Lower Kthar and Ajay Kumar (20) of Lower Kthar. The duo already have a criminal record.
Kuldeep Kumar alias Sukkha had unsuccessfully contested 2004 Parliament elections on Samajwadi Janta Party mandate. He had recently joined National Conference in presence of senior party leaders.
According to Police, Kuldeep Kumar was wanted earlier also in different cases under Section 322/340, 382/341 and 382/341/142/148, etc.
Following a complaint by the victim, Police conducted a series of raids and arrested one of the accused Ajay Kumar, who was earlier also booked by Police for similar charges of rape.
Manhunt to nab the main accused Sukkha was on while medical examination of the victim had been conducted besides registration of case FIR number 53 under Section 366/376, dated 27-4-2014 in this connection.
