DODA, May 28: A minor boy was crushed to death by a speedy mini-bus at Prano area on Doda-Bhadarwah road.
As per police sources, a bus carrying students of Government Middle School Tipri was on its way for school picnic, when it was stopped by children for urination.
A 13-year-old student namely as Abid Hussain, son of Mohammad Iqbal of Tipri, Thathri, was crossing the road to go to washroom, when a speedily mini-bus bearing registration number JK06-2079 hit him.
The profusely bleeding minor boy was immediately rushed to District Hospital Doda where he failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to his injuries.
A case under FIR Number 49/16 under Section 279, 337 and 304-A RPC has been registered at Police Station Bhadarwah and manhunt has been launched to nab the mini-bus driver, who managed to escape from the spot.
