RAJOURI, Feb 4: A minor boy died of lightning at Nihari village under Rajouri police jurisdiction this after noon.
A police spokesman said that the incident took place when it was drizzling amidst thunder storm in Rajouri this afternoon. 7-year-old boy Nissar Alam, son of Fateh Mohd, resident of Nihari was taking shelter under a tree. Suddenly, a strong beam of flash light from the sky, hit the tree and the boy with thunder, causing his death on the spot. The tree was also charred and turned black. His body was later removed by the family members this evening to DH Rajouri.
