JAMMU, June 1: Ministry of AYUSH has sanctioned construction of Center for Yoga and Naturopathy, including Integrated AYUSH Hospital at Central University of Jammu (CUJ).
“It’s a rare combination of any university and central institute within one campus ISRO, DRDO, Yoga, Naturopathy AYUSH Hospital and DBT all the prestigious centers funded by Govt of India”, Prof Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor, Central University said.
The VC further said, “For this prestigious Center all the financial support including infrastructure construction (10 acre area within campus) is being developed by the Ministry of AYUSH. This Center will be emerged as Nodal Center in the field of naturopathy in J&K (UT).”
Meanwhile, today for site selection, the team visited Central University of Jammu campus, Rahya Suchani.
Apart from Prof Aima, prominent among others who were present included Dr Mohan Singh, Director, ISM (J&K), Dr C M Seth, IFS, Dr.Yudhvir Gupta, Formar HOD, GMC, Jammu, Dr. Ravi Kumar, Registrar, Dr. Bachha Babu, Director, Yoga Center, Vishal Balgotra, Executive Engineer and Mohammad Iqbal, Finance Officer.
