JAMMU, Jan 30: MLA Sopore Haji Abdul Rashid has demanded resignation of Minister of Rural Development Haq Khan for misleading the House.
The MLA stood up during debate on grants of Chief Minister and waved a paper in the House saying that Minister of Rural Development should quit immediately as he misled the House in response to his charges during the debate on grants of his Ministry saying that MLA was telling a lie.
He said the paper which is in his hand is a proof to his statement that the BDOs were transferred frequently and one BDO was not even allowed to work for more than 24 hours and was shifted.
Leveling corruption charges, he said otherwise why the BDOs were transferred frequently in his Constituency.
As the Neelam Langeh of BJP was asked by Speaker Kavinder Gupta to speak on grants and he started his speech but the Congress members stood up from their seats to interrupt him. The MLA said the Minister should quit immediately for giving a wrong statement in the House as he misled the House. Later he handed over the paper to Speaker.
