Mines protected vehicles for CRPF

Looking to the extent and the magnitude of threat perception faced by our security forces from Pakistan trained and armed terrorists operating in some sensitive districts of Kashmir valley, the step of procuring those buses and vehicles which were mine protected as of now , should in fact have been taken long back. Anyway, better late than never ever , it is a step taken in right direction to go in for procuring of mine protected small 30 seater buses to ferry the CRPF within and to and fro Kashmir valley . It was not only going to ensure safety and security of our forces and their arms and ammunition but contributing towards building up further their morale.
Not only the decision about the fleet of special buses , the authorities have decided to enhance the number of its bomb detection and disposal squads which would be covering as many as 65 battalions based in the Kashmir valley to pre-empt and thwart any possible terror related violence . Counter IED capabilities are planned to be enhanced expeditiously including bullet proofing vehicles. Obviously, it is on account of the terror attack of February 14 in Pulwama Kashmir and which has been taken very seriously by the Government following which slew of security and safety related measures are being taken. It may be recalled that allowing air travel to all ranks of the CRPF forces from Kashmir to Jammu and Kashmir to Delhi and vice versa was taken last month itself and now specially protected and insulated smaller sized buses for the said forces are being procured. Large sized buses lack the requisite manoeuvrability for tuning to wear better fabrication since the added weight of the special metal impairs the better functioning of the engines compared to smaller sized ones.
However, since the terrorists keep on revising and changing their nefarious tactics of their detestable operations, it is prudent that the counter operations from the forces were superior, penetrating, hard hitting and decisive besides opting for better and advanced communication system.
