Militants blow up Pak girls’ school

PESHAWAR : Militants today blew up a Government school for girls in Pakistan’s restive tribal agency near the Afghan border, demolishing three classrooms.

The militants blew up the school using explosives in Bezoot area of Lower Orakzai Agency — one of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan.

However, no loss of life was reported.

Militants have often targeted schools in Pakistan’s volatile tribal areas.

Dozens of schools have been blown up in the past in various areas of Orakzai Agency, considered a stronghold of terrorists.(AGENCIES)
