Militancy victim awaits Govt job for 9 years

JAMMU, Apr 8: A militancy victim has been waiting for past nine years the benefits of SRO 43 recruitment but the administration has turned Nelson’s eye towards him.
Puran Chand, 32, son of Munshi Ram, a resident of village Thopal in Batote was 23 when his father (Munshi Ram) was killed in a grenade blast, triggered by the militants, in a BJP rally at Doda on May 13, 2006.
Then Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha LK Advani had visited residence of Puran Chand to condole killing of his father in a militant attack.
Now Puran has turned 32 and was moving from pillar to post for job under SRO 43, which is given to the kin of militancy victims.
Puran said whenever he visited office of the Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, he was told that there was no Government job for him.
He has appealed to the Government as the BJP was now in power to immediately arrange the due job for him.
