Refer the news item ‘Director SHD interacts with migratory breeders’ in the Daily Excelsior May 14 it for the first time, that any HOD visited and interacted with migratory breeders enroute migration. Such a step is highly appreciable.
The State Govt must direct all the heads of various departments like Animal Husbandry, Forest, Food & Supplies, Medical etc. to attend personally the migratory breeders enroute Jammu Srinagar National Highway for on the spot redressal of problems faced by lakhs of nomadic Gujjars and Bakerwals. The first aid camps enroute migration established by Sheep Husbandry Deptt; Jammu has been hailed by the public in general and nomadic population in particular.
