Migrants protest against lack of facilities at Jagti hospital

JAMMU, Feb 25: The migrants today held a protest demonstration out side the Jagti hospital but their bid to lock the Hospital was foiled by the police.
The protestors led by P L Thusso and Sunil Pandita raised slogans against the Government for its failure in providing facilities at the Hospital where not only the patients from the township but various peripheral areas come for treatment.
They alleged that there is no facility of the Gynecologist at night hours and pregnant women with labout pain are being rushed to GMC during night hours. Moreover, the hospital has no X-Ray facility and life saving medicines. Even the ambulance is not in working condition and the authorities at the helm of affairs have failed to look into the matter, they alleged.
They warned to launch agitation in case the issue was not solved immediately.
