JAMMU, Mar 9: Kashmir Pandit United Co-ordination Committee, Jagti Nagrota held protest outside Raj Bhawan here.
Large number of Kashmiri Pandits assembled outside Governor House and held protest. They raised slogans in favour of their demands.
While speaking, Bansi Lal Koul, Chairman of the Committee and Anu Ji, president demanded release of ration quota of February and regular supply without any break. They added that holding ration supplies to migrants has created problems for them.
“Ensure ration supplies as per previous scale so that migrant community should not suffer”, they demanded.
They also demanded one time compensation to the Kashmiri Pandit migrant families for the losses suffered to their properties in Kashmir valley during past 27 years of migration.
Koul and Anu Ji appealed to Government for ensuring early release of ration quota of Kashmiri Pandit migrant community with any further delay.
The protestors warned to come on roads and block the National Highway  if the Government failed to meet their demands.
The protesters said that such a law will bring the community to starvation as the migrants are internally displaced people, living in miserable conditions.
MK Yogi, president J&K National Conference Minority Cell, while saying that this act will double the miseries of Kashmiri Pandits, appealed the Governor of J&K to intervene in the matter and ask the Central Government not to implement this act.
