JAMMU, Jan 22: The dead body of a migrant worker was found this evening from a drain in Satwari area of city outskirts.
“The dead body of the deceased worker namely Bullet Ram son of Hari Narayan, resident of Old Satwari, who originally belongs to Bihar, was spotted this morning in a drain near his rented accommodation by some passersby”, a police official said.
He said that the body was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where after conducting post mortem, it was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites. “In this connection, inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC has been initiated by Satwari police”, he added.
