Migrant Contractors delegation calls on Veeri

JAMMU, Nov 18: A delegation of Migrant Contractors Association led by its president, Ashok Kumar Dhar today called on Minister of Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Abdul Rehman Veeri and discussed various issues regarding the welfare of contractors in general  and displaced contractors in particular with him.
The delegation demanded transfer of over stayed staff in engineering wing to make the functioning of the organization smooth which will be in the benefit of the public in general. The delegation said that some staff members are working in the Engineering Wing for last 25 years which is against the policy of the Government.
The delegation demanded smooth transition of contractors’ bills and early release of bill deposit pending since March 2017.
The Minister assured that all the issues discussed will be resolved shortly. The members of delegation included S L Koul, Desh Rattan, Pran Nath, Ramesh Ji, Bushan Lal Raina, C L Raina, Soom Nath Kandi, Jitten Ji, Bansi Lal, Bittu Ji Koul and Bushan Lal Raina.
