Mick Jagger suggested his son for punk role in new TV series

LONDON, Jan 9:  Mick Jagger suggested the producers of his new 1970s rock-themed TV series to take a look at his son when they were looking for someone to play the frontman of fictitious punk act “The Nasty Bits”.
The Rolling Stones star dug deep into his own recollections of the music business for “Vinyl”, the hard-hitting new drama he’s co-producing with Martin Scorsese, but he didn’t go into the project thinking he’d be working with his kid, James, reported Contactmusic.
“When I saw the role was being created, I thought, ‘Well,
wait a minute, they’re looking for a guy who likes this kind of music, can play it and can act as well’,” Mick said.
“He (James) loves that kind of music, that kind of screaming racket. Not that I’ve got any objections to it, but I mean, he’s really into that. So I thought I’d put James into the mix. I’m very pleased with him.” (PTI)
