SRINAGAR, Nov 8: Mother Helpage, United Kingdom, today donated medical aid to SKIMS Bemina hospital that lost its vital equipments due to September floods.
The NGO is run by Capt (Dr) Muhammad Sohail Nasti of Anantnag.
Gul Mohammad Nasti, father of Capt Muhammad Sohail Nasti who runs the NGO, while donating the medical aid said that in recent floods medical facilities around Srinagar lost much and his son Suhail wanted to extend a helping hand. “Being the alumni of SKIMS Bemina he found the facility fit for the donation,” Gul Mohammad said.
The medical aid donated included 46 beds, 46 bed covers, 100 pillows and pillow covers, 11 bed covers, 46 drip stands, 20 doctors table, 40 chairs and 10 blood pressure apparatus. “This is a humble donation from our side to the institute of which my son is an alumni,” Gul Mohammad said on the occasion.
According to Gul Mohammad, the donation is sponsored by Mohammad Nasti 7 and Hidayah Nasti 5, both the grand children of Gul Mohammad. The donation was received by the Medical Superintendent JVC Dr Nazir Ahmad Pandit.
Mother Helpage UK is a registered charity in England and Wales Mother Helpage Worldwide is at present working in more than 10 countries and recently being titled as the world’s first organization with a proper set-up of a disaster response wing with air and a sea rescue units.
Motherhelpage was established in 1994, after the death of Jamilah Gul Nasti, the mother of Dr. Sohail Nasti.
