DODA, June 19: Congress MLA from Bhaderwah, Mohd Sharief Niaz has alleged that Centrally sponsored MGNREGA and SSA schemes were total flop in his constituency.
In a press statement issued today, Mr Niaz said he recently visited many villages in the area and found that these two major schemes were not being properly implemented and the people have been deprived of the benefit. Many poor and deserving SC families were left out. He gave example of Chanti Titora village where over four dozen SC families have been left out. He said even the free ration quota announced by the administration for three months has not been provided to these families.
He alleged that Government is spending crores of funds on SSA scheme of Education Department but this schemes has also been found flop in the area. He demanded that proper monitoring of the schemes be ensured by the senior officers.
