MFMS to bring transparency in fertilizer business: Malhotra

JAMMU, July 25: A large number of fertilizer dealers both whole sale and retail as well as fertilizer campaigners participated in the one day training programme organized by Department of Agriculture on Mobile Fertilizer Monitoring System (MFMS) at Village Laswara in Bishnah tehsil.
The training programme was organized for fertilizer dealers of Sub Division, R S Pura. The programme was inaugurated by A K Malhotra, State Nodal Officer (MFMS) who is also Joint Director of Agriculture (Extension).
He said the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers GOI has launched the MFMS to bring transparency in the fertilizer business. Fertilizer being the key input in  agriculture Sector should be made available to the farming community at their door steps and the main objective of the scheme is to make available direct subsidy to the farmers.
The training programme was organized in collaboration with CFCL Jammu in which on line demonstration was given by CFCL, NFL, IFFCO and experts of Agriculture Department.
R K Hiteshi (SMS-RL) Arun Makhnotra, Programme Officer, B B Gupta, Enforcement Inspector, O K Koul State Manager, NFL, S Nirmal Singh Senior  Manager IFFCO, Manish Jain De Regional Manager, CFCL, Mr Vijaydeep, Area Manager, CFCL and other officers of Agriculture Department were present on the occasion.
