JAMMU, Nov 19: To drive home the message of being safe and sane on roads, Ford dealerships across India are supporting special on-ground engagement zones for children during November 14 – November 25, 2018.
Extending the spirit of Children’s Day, the specially created engagement zone look to educate children about road safety signs and behaviour using fun and games. The star attraction of the engagement zone will be a Road Safety board game, depicting a road with traffic signals. Children will be able to play the game with their parents while their favourite Ford gets serviced at the dealership.
Other engagement(s) at Ford dealerships include painting, quiz and word-finder exercise, also on the theme of road safety.
Children visiting the dealerships will also be given the tour of the service area, wearing safety gear especially made for them, and play the technician. In return of their participation, children will be given a gift hamper of safety kits including a safety champion badge and a board game on road safety.
“From providing the best of safety technology in Ford cars -to- encouraging drivers to be courteous to others while driving and follow rules, we believe in making every effort possible to ensure that every family travels safely,” said Anurag Mehrotra, president and Managing Director, Ford India.
Ford has been at the forefront of raising awareness on issues concerning road safety and recently associated with Indian Road Safety Campaign (IRSC), earlier this year. Under the umbrella of Ford #Cartesy, the awareness campaign reached out to more than 5,000 students and their parents.
One of the key engagements of the association as Ford’s unique Parent Safety Report Card is that each student is empowered to rate their parents on traffic rules and driving behaviour like the use of seat belts, stopping before zebra crossing. Once rated, the students are encouraged to share the scores with their parents. The activity is aimed to highlight how good or bad driving behaviour as observed by children impact their understanding of traffic rules and being courteous.
Keeping the safety of families in mind, Ford has some of the most advanced technologies that minimize distractions. Ford has been among the leaders in offering up to six airbags in vehicles across its product range.
