UDHAMPUR, Feb 17: Like other parts of the country, members of Military Engineers Service Builders Association held a protest demonstration, here today, highlighting their demands.
The protesting builders, led by Udhampur branch chairman Vinod Gupta, raised slogans in support of their demands, like adequate funds for the maintenance of contract, implementation of escalation clause for the period of minimum six months and above, regularization of tax deduction and issuing of their certificate, easy renewal of enlistment policy and up gradation of contractors, classification regarding Service Tax (ST), strict follow up policy regarding purchase vouchers etc.
The protest was organized in the premises of Chief Engineer Udhampur zone under the banner of Military Engineer Service Builders Association of India (MESBAI).
Similar protests were organized at all 71 branches of MESBAI all over the country.
