Mercury rises in parts of Kashmir

SRINAGAR, Mar 8: Amid forecast for dry weather, the minimum temperature rose in parts of Kashmir today.
The Meteorological department has forecast dry weather to continue till March 12.
Srinagar recorded a low of 3.5°C against 3.3°C the previous night and it was 0.2°C above normal for the city.
Qazigund recorded a low of 2.4°C against 2.0°C the previous night and it was 0.2°C above normal for the town.
Pahalgam recorded a low of minus 1.7°C against minus 1.4°C the previous night and it was 0.3°C below normal for the tourist resort.
Kokernag recorded a low of 4.1°C against 3.9°C the previous night and it was 2.2°C above normal for the place.
Gulmarg recorded a low of minus 1.6°C against minus 0.8°C the previous night and it was 1.9°C above normal for the skiing resort.
In Kupwara town, the mercury settled at 0.2°C against 0.4°C the previous night and it was 1.2°C above normal for the town.
