NEW DELHI, June 19: Menthol prices were down by Rs 10 per kg in the national capital today owing to reduced offtake by consuming units amid adequate stocks.
Also, increased arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh and weakening trend in futures market weighed on the menthol prices.
Menthol bold crystal, flake and mentha oil prices eased by Rs 10 each to conclude at Rs 1,160, Rs 1,120 and Rs 1,040 per kg, respectively.
Traders said reduced offtake by consuming industries against increased arrivals from producing regions mainly pulled down menthol prices.
