NEW DELHI, Aug 26: Supported by a pick up in industrial demand in the spot market and restricted supplies from producing regions, mentha oil prices gained 0.85 per cent to Rs 879.50 per kg in futures trade today.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in August moved up by Rs 7.40, or 0.85 per cent to Rs 879.50 per kg in business turnover of 364 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in September gained Rs 5.70, or 0.65 per cent to Rs 895.60 per kg in 358 lots.
Market analysts said besides pick up in industrial demand in the spot market, restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh also influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade. (PTI)
