NEW DELHI, Mar 12: Mentha oil prices rose by Rs 4.10 to Rs 1,219 per kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged position, driven by strong industrial demand in the spot market.
Further, restricted arrivals from producing regions and some export enquiries also influenced mentha oil prices at futures market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in April gained Rs 4.10, or 0.34 per cent, to Rs 1,219 per kg in business turnover of 157 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in May traded higher by Rs 2.50, or 0.44 per cent, to Rs 1,155.50 per kg in 55 lots.
Market analysts said speculators enlarged their positions, driven by strong industrial demand in the spot market amid lower arrivals from producing belt, mainly influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade. (PTI)
