Mentha oil futures recover 0.29% as demand picks up

NEW DELHI, June 23:  Amid a pick up in domestic demand at spot market and restricted supplies from producing regions, mentha oil prices rebounded by 0.29 per cent to Rs 853.10 per kg in futures trade today as traders created fresh positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in far-month July moved up by Rs 2.50, or 0.29 per cent to Rs 853.10 per kg in business turnover of 19 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in June contracts traded higher by Rs 2.10, or 0.25 per cent to Rs 841.60 per kg in 37 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in mentha oil futures to fresh positions built up by participants after uptick in demand from consuming industries in the spot market against restricted supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh. (PTI)
