NEW DELHI, May 9: Amid rising domestic demand and tight supplies from producing regions, mentha oil rose for the sixth-straight day and prices advanced by 0.49 per cent to Rs 885.50 per kg in futures trading today.
Analysts said the persistent rise in mentha oil at futures trade was mostly attributed to rising demand from consuming industries in the spot markets against tight supplies from producing regions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in June added Rs 4.30, or 0.49 per cent to Rs 885.50 per kg in business turnover of 69 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in May traded higher by Rs 4, or 0.46 per cent to Rs 876.70 per kg in 294 lots. (PTI)
