NEW DELHI, Oct 6: Mentha oil prices rose further by 0.35 per cent to Rs 1,238 per kg in futures trade today as speculators engaged in enlarging their positions, taking positive cues from spot market on increased demand from consuming industries.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in November went up by Rs 4.30, or 0.35 per cent to Rs 1,238 per kg in business turnover of 40 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in October was trading higher by Rs 3.60, or 0.29 per cent to Rs 1,224.80 per kg in 230 lots.
Analysts said expanding of positions by participants due to rising demand from consuming industries in the physical market against restricted supplies from Chandausi, kept mentha oil prices higher at futures trade. (PTI)
