SAMBA: Representatives of different industrial bodies today called on Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga and apprised him with their demands pertaining to extension of subsidies regarding Toll and GST on raw material for the industrial units established in state.
The members demanded that toll tax and GST exemptions be included in the State’s Industrial Policy as rates of imported raw material are volatile and domestic industries need incentives for sustenance.
The Minister gave them a patient hearing and assured that the government is continuously working towards improving the business scenario in the state. He added that their demands shall be looked into and suitable action shall be taken to address in a time bound manner.
Rajesh Jain, Chairman Federation of Industries, Lalit Mahajan, President Bari Brhamana Industries Association, Romesh Badyal, President Birpur Industries Association and others were part of the delegation.
