Mehbooba will now blame Modi: Omar

SRINAGAR, Mar 19: Hitting out at People’s Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti over reports that her party and Bharatiya Janata Party have failed to work out differences to form an alliance Government, former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today said “watch how she will now try to claim that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has let the State down.”
“Watch how Mehbooba Mufti will now try & claim that her party wasn’t asking for anything new and how the PM has let down J&K,” Abdullah, who is the working president of National Conference (NC), wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
Upping the ante on Ms Mufti, Abdullah said her father negotiated the Agenda of Alliance so she must tell us what was wrong with it. “Mehbooba’s father negotiated the Agenda of Alliance so she must tell us what was wrong with it. Her father was CM 10 months with this agenda,” he said.
“It seems she didn’t know what she wanted from the Centre & got tripped up because her demands were too vague & her response too erratic,” Abdullah wrote. “If all she wanted was the Agenda of Alliance, that was a roadmap with a six year implementation period so what was the problem with timeframe?” he added.
Mr Abdullah reacted through tweets after BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav told reporters at New Delhi yesterday that no fresh condition from PDP was acceptable. However, he said BJP was still ready to form the Government with PDP on Agenda of Alliance, agreed when Sayeed took over as Chief Minister of the State in March last year.
He has further said that ball is in the court of PDP who had to elect the candidate for Chief Minister.  Jammu and Kashmir is under Governor’s Rule since January 8, the day after Sayeed breathed his last in AIIMS, New Delhi.
However, the tweet of Abdullah received mixed response as some said she (Mehbooba) was not power hungry which cannot be said for you while others claim that people now prefer Governor’s rule than a political Government.
