JAMMU, Oct 15: An accomplished writer, poet, artist and a dedicated mother of two, Mehak Varun is coming forth with her latest book ‘I Am Me’ that encourages young girls to believe in their capabilities to achieve great feats. It sends out the message that every girl is, in herself, enough and accomplished.
The author, being a fervent feminist, wishes to see a world devoid of prejudice against women. She is a deep thinker who expresses her emotions through poetry and writing and a mother of two daughters who happen to be her inspiration to write. She dedicated the book to her parents for nurturing her to become a better person every day.
‘I Am Me’ is a poetry book, divided into three segments, that represent three different emotions and experiences ranging from killer instinct to loss and hope. The final segment represents an optimistic note highlighting the fact that no matter how tough a situation gets, one can always emerge out of it to discover a new and powerful self.
Born and brought up in Jammu and settled in Chandigarh, Mehak Varun has won several awards including ‘100 Inspiring Authors of India’ Award and ‘Women of Influence 2019’ Award for her writing. ‘I Am Me’ intends to inspire the reader, especially women, to create a bright future for themselves.
