JAMMU, Aug 31: The Mega Final of Voice of J&K, a singing competition, organised by Pooja Kala Sangam, Nagrota Kandoli, was held here today at Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk.
Minister for Housing and Horticulture and Culture, Raman Bhalla, was the chief guest while Dr Ravinder Singh Rissam (Retd CEO) and Centre Head, Sharda Education Academy, Surinder Kumar Bhatt, Principal, Government Higher Secondary School Nagrota, Sarpanch Raman Wazir, Sarpanch Raman Slathia, Dr Salim Choudhary, MD, Choudhary Nursing Home, Satish Sharma, president, PYC, Jammu-Poonch Constituency, were the guests of honour on the occasion.
A total of 22 participants including male and females in Senior and Junior category from different areas, schools and colleges took part in the function. The winners were awarded Rs 10,000 cash, a certificate and medals by the chief guest while gift coupons were awarded by the Centre Head of the Sharda Education Academy.
The Sharda Education Academy also announced the concession/scholarship to all the finalists of the function. The winners also got an opportunity to perform in music albums. The show was adjudged by renowned music director, Surider Manhas, veteran singer, Narinder Wazir, music composer, Bishan Dass and Hitesh Badyal, guitarist and president, Nirvana Academy Cultural Club.
The Director of the function, Raju Gill, while speaking announced that Pooja Kala Sangam will organise these kinds of event in future also.
Vaneet Gill, assistant director, Raj Kumar Magotra coordinator, Aditya Khajuria, Antu Kotwal, Rajinder Kumar Lucky and Anil Kumar were also part of the organising team of the event.
