Meenu of SMVDU bags Young Scientist Award at Poland

JAMMU, May 28: Meenu Sharma, research scholar at the School of Biotechnology, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra, has been awarded FEMS Meeting Grant for Early Young Scientist Award. She has also been awarded with a case prize of Euro 220.
The researcher presented her work in FEMS Meeting on ‘The non-Conventional Yeasts: Basic Research to Application in the Department of Biotechnology and Microbiology, Faculty of Biology and Agriculture, University of Rzeszow, Poland, supported by the International Commission on Yeast.
Further, Meenu’s research was accepted for the presentation in the session: Sensing, Signaling, Stress Response and Membrane Transport. The candidate has been working under the supervision of Dr. Narendra K. Bairwa and Prof. V. Verma, SMVDU,
