JAMMU, July 10: Hotel Asia is ready with some unique and new flavour for Jammuites, as it is organizing 10-day “Mediterranean Food Festival” from July 11 to July 20, 2014 at their Restaurant “Yangtse”.
Mediterranean cuisine is known for its freshness, crunchy flavour, delicate aroma and balanced nutritional diet synonyms to Mediterranean diet.
The term ‘Mediterranean’ describes the culinary culture and culinary art of food from the cultures adjacent to the Mediterranean Sea. Although this region spans a wide variety of cultures, the historical connections of the region as well as impact of the Mediterranean Sea on the region’s climate and economy, have led to there being many common elements in the foods.
The cuisine has spread from Mediterranean shores of Italy, Greece, France, Spain, North Africa and the Middle East. Here we have chosen the most popular dishes, which strongly represent the flavor of among above countries, said Exceutive Chef, Naresh Dabral.
While briefing the menu, he said it is a well balanced combination of Italian Bruschetta, Crostini, antipasto to pastas and Risotto while it also included Spanish Tapas and Spanish International Chilled soup Gazpacho, Moorish Chicken to famous Lebanese Insalata and Falafel, Pita bread, Hummus dip, Lebana dip, Tzatziki dip and Cheese fondu. It also included Shish Taouk Kabsa, Chelo Kebabs and many more representing Middle East’s flavor.
