SRINAGAR, Dec 7: Doctors in the Valley have demanded immediate removal of “tainted” Health and Indian System of Medicine (ISM) directors for their “misdeeds”.
Dr Nisar-ul-Hassan, President Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) said in a statement said that it was worrying that the Government was promoting tainted officials with a design to hollow the pillars of sacred institutions.
“Director Health Services Kashmir Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman continues to enjoy his position despite his direct involvement in the spurious drug scam.
Dr. Hassan alleged he was left out and no prosecution was made against him and despite being ineligible for the post of director he was promoted to a coveted post to serve some one’s interests.
The statement claimed that Director ISM Dr Kabir Dar has issued around 400 fraudulent Dawasaz (pharmacist certificates) at the cost of Rs 3 to Rs 4 lakh per certificate, who were later appointed under NRHM in lieu, with the director.
