This has reference to the circular issued by the Jammu and Kashmir Finance Department published in this paper on 10th, July.
Kudos to the State Govt. for starting and implementing the Mediclaim Insurance Policy in favour of the employees (Gazetted). This step of the State Govt. is encouraging and is hailed by every citizen. Thousands of people will be benefitted by this scheme.
It is now requested that the application and the implementation of this scheme may kindly be extended to the deserving State Govt pensioners also. The pensioners are in old age and physically, mentally and financially weak. They have spent the best part of their lives in the service of the State Administration in different capacities. They are in need of such schemes from the Government.
State Pensioners Forum should also raise this demand before the Govt.
