SRINAGAR, Sept 8: Shopian based Army Camp today organized a medical camp at Hirpur to provide free medical treatment to the villagers of Hirpur and nearby villages.
Medical Officer of Shopian based Army Camp along with trained medical staff were made available under one roof to provide the free medical checkup as well as free medicines to the local populace including men, women and children.
The camp witnessed overwhelming response from the villagers who were very happy to receive the much-needed treatment in a very peaceful environment. A total of 71 men, 48 women and 87 children were treated during the medical camp.
The camp proved to be beneficial to the local people since medical facilities are not easily available to them due to ongoing curfew since last two months.
Commanding Officer, Shopian based Army camp and Army doctor assured the people of their continuous support and cooperation in all aspects at all time.
