POONCH, Apr 23: With combined efforts of district administration and the Army, a medical camp was organized today at village Chhapriyan.
The initiative was launched with the assistance of five specialists including two lady doctors. The specialists were Dr Iftikhaar Hussain, Dental Surgeon, Dr Puneet Kar, Dr Naushaba Kokab, Dr Suneer Misri, Dr Ruchi Sharma and one Medical Officer from the Army.
The camp catered for the medical needs of the locals of the area. The specialists carried out detailed check-up, diagnosed and distributed free medicines. A total of 500 elderly people, women, men and children were benefitted by the medical camp.
The medical camp was aimed at educating the locals about various lifestyle and waterborne diseases such as Hypertension, Diabetes, Hepatitis and Typhoid. The initiative created awareness through info graphics, posters, banners and charts.
