JAMMU, Feb 12: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Jammu in collaboration with Health Department today organized a free medical camp at Central Jail Kot Bhalwal.
A handout stated that 694 Jail inmates were examined by specialized doctors including Psychiatrist, Physician Specialist, Dermatologists, ENT Specialist, Eye Specialist and Dental Surgeon from Government Medical College, Jammu.
Secretary DLSA Jammu, Naushad Ahmed Khan, addressed the jail inmates and made them aware about their fundamental rights, legal aid and other facilities which are to be provided to them.
The necessary medicines were also distributed as per the prescription to the inmates by DLSA team.
Jail Superintendent, Dinesh Sharma thanked the doctors, Para Medical staff and other office bearers of DLSA for organizing the medical camp.
