Medical Allowance hike among other demands raised

JAMMU, Aug 28: Members of All J&K State Pensioners Association in a meeting here today chaired by Madan Lal Abrol discussed their issues.
The pensioners discussed the issue of revised pay scale and expressed concern that thousands of files concerning the same issue are lying with the AG office without any progress.
They also demanded hike in medical allowance as only Rs. 300 per month is being given to them as medical allowance for the last 20 years.
The demand of insurance scheme for the pensioners and giving them arrears in a single instalment was also raised.
The pensioners appealed to the Governor, Satya Pal Malik to look into their demands seriously.
Yash Paul Sanson, Raj Kumar Basnathia, Bhushan Pargal, Mohd Shafi, Ayub Khan, Prem Saroop and others were also present in the meeting.
