JAMMU, Sept 19: With the commitment 10th Super Speciality OPD Clinic of ENT & Head Neck cancer has been started by Medanta in Jammu.
Keeping in view public interest and requests from all over the State, Medanta “The Medicity” Gurgaon with state of the art technology & world famous super specialists is rendering services with the approval of Dr Naresh Trehan (Chairman & Managing Director of Hospital. The CMD has given his consent for ENT & Head Neck Cancer Clinic in Jammu, where in Dr. Deepak Sarin (Assoc. Director & Head of Deptt. Head Neck Oncology Surgery) will render services from Sept 19 onwards (3nd Thursday of every Month) with permission of Chairman ENT & Head & Neck Surgery Dr K.K. Handa at Jammu Mediconsult Centre situated at 87-A, Gole Market Gandhi Nagar, Jammu as an initiative by Care India Foundation Trust.

Dr Sarin completed his MBBS from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. He subsequently did his Residency in Otolaryngology (ENT) and Head & Neck Surgery also from AIIMS. He spent three years as a Senior Resident in the department during which time he developed a strong interest in Head & Neck Surgery.
Following his Senior Residency, he continued for a further year as a Pool Officer carrying out research. He was accepted as a Clinical Fellow in the ACGME accredited Head & Neck and Skull Base Program at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami in Florida, USA. During his tenure there for 2 years he received advanced training in his field and performed close to 400 operations.
After Serving in Ganga Ram & Artimis hospital as consultant for 7 seven years, now he is currently at Medanta, The Medicity in Gurgaon where he heads the department of Head and Neck Oncology Surgery. Dr Sarin maintains a keen interest in treating mouth cancer, larynx cancer, thyroid lumps, mandible, tongue, palate maxilla and parotid tumors.
